In 1960, a winding pathran throughthe zoofrom north to south,dividing the area into several sections.The northwestern areahoused African animals,whileAustralian species were kept to the south.On the opposite side of the main path, there was a bird enclosure,adjacent toa seal show thatstood at the end ofa branch roadnearthe harbor.Below them, a chimpanzee habitat was situated, followed by a gift shopfurther south.The entire eastern partof the zoo was designated as a picnic area.

Today,a ferry terminal has been introducedto the west ofthe former harbor, which nowhas been removed tothe northwestern corner. Two new entranceshave been constructedat both ends ofthe main path. The Australian animal habitatremains unchanged,whilethe former African animal section is now dedicated to wild animals.Meanwhile, the seal showhas been moved to the previouschimpanzee habitat, and a smaller habitat for African animalshas been addedto the west.However, the bird enclosurehas been removed. The original gift shophas been expanded intoa two-storey building.Moreover, a newcable carsystem,extending from the northern to the southern part ofthe zoo,has been builtnear the picnic area,significantly improving accessibility for visitors.
