At such an assembly as this, it would be insupportable. Your sisters are engaged, and there is not another woman in the room, whom it would not be a punishment to me to stand up with.”这段文字是达西的回应，有几个生词阻碍我没浏览明白啥意思。1. detest词性：动词含义：厌恶；憎恨用法：“how I detest it”，我很厌恶。2. acquainted词性：形容词含义：熟悉的；了解的用法：“particularly acquainted with my partner”，特别熟悉舞伴。3. partner词性：名词含义：舞伴；伙伴用法：“my partner”，伙伴。4. insupportable词性：形容词含义：无法忍受的；难以容忍的用法：“it would be insupportable”，无法忍受的。5. engaged词性：形容词含义：已订婚的；忙碌的；占用的用法：“Your sisters are engaged”，你的姐妹们有舞伴。6. punishment词性：名词含义：惩罚；处罚用法：“it would not be a punishment to me”，与不熟悉的女士跳舞是一种折磨。陌生词扫了一遍，我试着把文字转化为中文：“我当然不想跳舞。你知道我很烦，除非舞伴是熟悉的人。在这个舞会上是无法忍受的。你的姐妹们正忙着，在这个房间没有其他的舞伴，和不熟悉的人跳舞对我是折磨，还不如站着呢。”二为了更好的理解达西这番话，我逐句拆开读一遍：1. "At such an assembly as this, it would be insupportable.""at such an assembly as this" ，介词短语作状语。assembly：集会，指舞会上的社交聚会。insupportable：无法忍受的。4. "Your sisters are engaged, and there is not another woman in the room, whom it would not be a punishment to me to stand up with."engaged：已订婚的，有了舞伴。punishment：惩罚。故事情节会怎么发展呢？接着往后看。
